DeRae & Sterling got married in Honolulu, Hawaii in February of 2023. The couple are born and raised here on Oahu so the stunning island views were just perfect for their special day.

Angela White Events (AWE) provided week of wedding planning support for the couple.

The First Look

The sunny Saturday afternoon ceremony took place at 53 by the Sea. The first look was outside in the garden with the breathtaking view of Diamond Head straight ahead.

While AWE always supports our couples in whatever they decide to do on their wedding day, it's highly encouraged to consider a first look before the ceremony. DeRae & Sterling initially didn't want to do a first look. They changed their minds about it and the moment was pure magic. You can feel it through the photos.

The Ceremony

Sterling's daughter made the most perfect flower girl. Once she was properly trained, the bridal parties marched down the aisle.

DeRae was the most stunning bride! She sauntered right down the aisle into Sterling's arms and there wasn't a dry eye in the room.

Venue + Vendors

The ceremony venue, 53 by the Sea, is gorgeous from every angle. The grand staircase made the perfect location for photos of the couple and their families.

Professional photos are by MD Photography. The bride's vision was the photo shoot on the staircase and Megan brought that reality to life.

The bride + her attendant's flowers are by Wantanabe Floral. They have a ton of floral options and pickup was simple.
