Angela White Events sparked into business existence in 2021 when my dear friend Trang began planning her wedding on Maui for February 2022. I bought a new notebook, a few colorful pens, designed the logo and got started. At the time I was living in Seattle, unemployed, and patiently waiting to move back to Oahu. Us event folks were amongst the first to lose our jobs in a Covid world and I was looking forward to taking my next steps on the ol' career path. Trang and her fiancé Chad, both California residents, were planning a destination wedding and they needed help. I launched the Angela White Events brand and got right to work providing full service wedding planning for the couple. By October 2021, I was living in Honolulu and Trang was coming to visit along with with Chad's Mom and sister. We hopped on a flight to Maui and I spent the feeding them wedding cake, visiting dinner venues, and hopping from beach to beach to find the perfect sunset ceremony location. In February 2022, Trang and Chad celebrated their love with a perfect day. The sunset ceremony on the beach was followed by an elegant dinner with their closest friends and relatives. The couples's great taste and laid back personalities shined through throughout the celebration. I was honored to plan a wedding alongside Trang and Chad and I will never be able to thank them enough for being the catalyst for starting my own business! Sunset Wedding CeremonyTrang and Chad were wed on Mokapu Beach in Wailea at sunset. Casual and barefoot isn't their style. The bride and groom looked absolutely sharp and stunning for their ocean front ceremony. The bride + her attendant's flowers are by Bella Boom Maui. Professional photos are by Mike Adrian Photography. Dinner VenueThe lion's share of the work for this wedding was transforming the hotel's meeting room into a wedding dinner venue. The space offered some Hawaii local artwork on the walls and triple doors opening to a stellar ocean view. The hotel offered tables, chairs, linens, plates, and cutlery. The bride took matters into her own hands and elevated the space with a tropical plants theme, both live and artificial. Wedding DinnerThe hotel offered absolutely no kitchen usage for our event! Thanks to Chef Kevin Bell and his wonderful team from Soigné, the guests enjoyed a delicious and hot plated dinner. The wedding cake from Sweet on Maui was a hit, especially with the Groom who was surprised with his favorite: banana cake! Today is Trang & Chad's first wedding anniversary and I couldn't be happier to call them my dear friends and first clients! Congrats Trang & Chad! View Another Event:Keep Exploring AWE:
