Angela's event career began during her time in college at Penn State University. While studying Marketing and Sociology, she took a job at the historic Nittany Lion Inn as a banquet bartender, pouring drinks and hoping for a full tip jar. Angela got a behind the scenes peek into the world of events: she learned the importance of event day timelines, how to chat with event guests and exactly when a wedding cake should be sliced.
Angela had an event internship in her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA one summer and moved to Honolulu, HI the next summer. Her first job was in marketing, events, and communications and it sharpened her skills in every way. Angela was able learn from industry pros and plan events of all sorts, including a month-long visit of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile to Oahu. |
